0 Bus Driver – Part Time The Out-of-Door Academy seeks Part-Time Bus Drivers to join a thriving school that is committed to providing a relevant and student-centered learning experience. Responsibilities – Reporting to the Transportation Coordinator, the Bus Driver will be responsible for the following:
Safely transport students on scheduled routes, field trips, athletic runs and special events.
Assist students in the loading and unloading process and ensure they are released to approved persons.
Complete pre-trip and post-trip inspections, proper fueling and cleaning of buses at completion of each trip/route.
Notify Transportation Coordinator of needed bus repairs and maintenance, including scheduled and unscheduled.
Assist Facilities, Grounds and/or Athletics with daily event tasks.
Qualifications – The following experience, skills & knowledge are required and/or preferred:
H.S. Diploma or GED required.
Valid CDL with “S” endorsement required; Passenger & Airbrake endorsement required.
Must maintain a calm presence at all times.
Strong verbal communication skills are required.
Strong interpersonal skills; self-directed individual who is solution oriented, flexible and works well with teams and individuals while possessing a positive attitude.
Certification in CPR/AED/First Aid preferred; will provide upon hire if needed.
Must have valid transportation to/from work each day.
A successful track record of working effectively with a wide range of constituencies including students, faculty, staff and parents.

This is a part-time, non-exempt position available immediately. Days and hours may vary, depending on the needs of the Transportation department. At Out-of-Door, we value a diverse workforce.
