Our drivers provide safe and reliable transportation for students to and from school and to designated field trips.

Responsibilities and Duties:

Conduct careful pre-trip inspections to ensure the safety of students and staff during trips. Follow all traffic laws. Provide safe and efficient transportation for students to and from school as well as designated field trips. Conduct post-trip vehicle inspections and complete all trip reporting documentation accurately. Maintain open communication with leadership regarding vehicular issues. Communicate clearly and respectfully with students and staff.

Qualifications and Skills:

(To be considered for position) Minimum of 25 years of age High School Diploma/GED CDL with Passenger Endorsement Must pass Level II Background Screening Safe driving record Must pass physical Be strong moral character and act as a role model. Availability to drive during school year Monday-Friday, 6:45-8:00/2:00-3:30 (split shift) Summer hours will vary

Required Training:

(Can be completed as part of hiring process, center covers cost) Adult/Pediatric First Aid and CPR Bloodborne Pathogens DCF Transportation Safety Class (online)
