JOB DESCRIPTION

Mobile Clinic Bus Driver (Class A or B Commercial License Required)

FUNCTION

Responsible for the Mobile Health and Wellness Bus (“Bus”) including transport, set up, functioning of all systems within the Bus, PM procedures, routine maintenance, and cleanliness.

QUALIFICATIONS

Must have a clean driving record, must be able to pass the Department of Justice background check and Department of Transportation physical exam and drug screen. We will provide all necessary Bus duty and vehicle specific training for selected applicants. Must be at least 21 years of age. Must live in the Alexandria, LA area. Valid Class A or B CDL B Preferred Clean driving record Strong customer service skills Must possess a positive and professional attitude

DESCRIPTION OF PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

Required to set up and break down site and Bus equipment each day as needed Provides safe operation of Bus by complying with organizational policies and procedures and Department of Motor Vehicle regulations Monitors equipment by inspecting Bus before and after use, determining their condition and documenting inspection results Ensures operation of Bus and equipment by keeping equipment clean and maintained Enhances company image by maintaining positive relationships with mobile site staff and customers Promotes mobile site cooperation and efficiency Supports departmental operations by completing other duties as assigned or requested

Professional and Technical Knowledge:

High school diploma or equivalent required. Commercial Driver’s License with Air Brakes Experience driving a commercial bus (preferred).

Physical Demands:

Moves in and out of the Bus and other rooms. Will need to travel as required by the Bus services bus/community demands. Some bending and stooping required. Requires lifting up to 50 pounds. Over 50 pounds requires assistance Requires manual dexterity to maneuver for handling bus and office equipment. Visual activity required to respond and react to roadway observations and to physical changes while assisting with Bus tasks Eye and hand coordination and finger dexterity needed to perform vehicle maneuvers, entering data, and reviewing information Starting pay – $24/hour minimum 8 hours/day, 5 days/week and may occasionally incur overtime and per diem
