Summer Camp Bus Driver Confident Young Minds Charlotte, NC 28262 Overview We are seeking a dedicated and responsible Bus Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and timely transportation of students to and from school, extracurricular activities, and various events. This position requires a strong commitment to safety, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage a diverse group of children effectively. Duties Safely operate the bus while adhering to all traffic laws and regulations. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety compliance. Maintain a clean and organized bus environment for students. Manage student behavior during transit, ensuring a respectful and safe atmosphere. Assist students in boarding and disembarking the bus, providing support as needed. Communicate effectively with parents, school staff, and other stakeholders regarding transportation schedules and any issues that may arise. Participate in ongoing training sessions to enhance driving skills and knowledge of safety protocols. Skills Strong understanding of childcare principles with experience in managing groups of children effectively. Proficiency in classroom management techniques to maintain order during transit. Experience in sports coaching , babysitting , or working with students can enhance interaction with children on the bus. Familiarity with behavior management strategies to address various student needs during transport. Previous experience in daycare , camps, or similar settings is beneficial for understanding child dynamics.
