QUALIFICATIONS
1. High School diploma or GED2. Valid North Carolina driver’s license and CDL with P and S endorsements.
REPORTS TO
TIMS Coordinator/ Principal
JOB GOAL
To provide safe and efficient transportation of students over a specified route, according to a time schedule, for curriculum and extracurricular activities.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1.Complies with all traffic ordinances.2.Observes all mandatory safety regulations for school buses.3.Maintains discipline when students are on bus.4.Reports undisciplined students to the proper authority.5.Keeps assigned bus clean.6.Keeps to assigned schedule.7.Checks bus before each operation for mechanical defects.8.Notifies the proper authority in case of mechanical failure or lateness.9.Discharges students only at authorized stops.10.Reports all accidents and completes required reports.11.Stays current with state rules and regulations pertaining to driving and transporting students.12.Performs related duties and responsibilities as requested by the Director.[]{#docs-internal-guid-7bf3620f-7fff-a993-eeef-e7ae93a40dbd}
