B or C – We will train you to sit for your written exams and prepare you to take your driving test with a school bus. Our team of professional trainers will teach you how to drive a bus safely, be prepared for emergencies and how to manage a bus load of students.

Compensation:

pay per shift – discussed in the interview. Commensurate with experience.

Sign-on Bonus:

$2,000 total – After you get your license and begin driving for us, you will receive quarterly bonuses of $500 during your first year of service.

Additional Income Opportunities:

School bus drivers have the option to pickup additional shifts driving charter buses and event shuttles. Duties Safely operate a bus or van, ensuring the safe transport of passengers to their designated locations. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition. Maintain a clean and orderly bus environment for passengers. Educate passengers on safety protocols and procedures during transit. Communicate effectively with passengers, parents, and school officials regarding schedules and any changes. Assist children as needed, ensuring their safety during boarding and disembarking. Manage behavior on the bus to maintain a safe environment for all passengers. Report any mechanical issues or incidents promptly to management. Requirements Must be willing to submit to fingerprinting and a background check You must pass a DOT physical exam that includes drug and alcohol screening Beyond the critical aspect of safety, school bus drivers often forge unique and supportive relationships with their student passengers.
