School Bus Driver 5.0 5.0 out of 5 stars Beaver, PA 15009 We are seeking a dedicated and responsible School Van Driver to join our transportation team, serving the critical role of ensuring the safe and timely transport of students to and from school-related activities. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to child safety and well-being, as well as demonstrate exceptional driving skills and a clean driving record. In this position, you will be entrusted with the responsibility of adhering to all traffic laws and regulations, while maintaining a pleasant and secure environment for our young passengers. Our drivers are essential in promoting a positive experience for students, parents, and school staff alike, thus excellent communication and interpersonal skills are paramount. Candidates should be prepared to handle various challenges that may arise during transport, including adapting to changing schedules and navigating through different routes. The successful candidate will act not only as a driver but also as a mentor and role model for the students, instilling a sense of responsibility and respect while on the road. This role requires a strong sense of duty, attention to detail, and a passion for fostering a safe and enjoyable environment for our youth, making it an essential part of our community’s transportation framework. Responsibilities
- Transport students to and from school and related activities in a timely manner
- Ensure the safety and security of all passengers during transport
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure optimal performance and safety
- Adhere to all local traffic laws, regulations, and school policies
- Maintain a clean and organized vehicle at all times
- Assist students while boarding and exiting the vehicle, ensuring they are secured with seat belts if applicable
- Communicate effectively with parents, school staff, and transportation coordinators about any issues or changes in schedules
- Report any maintenance issues or incidents involving the vehicle or passengers immediately to management Requirements
- Valid commercial driver’s license
- Clean driving record with no serious traffic violations
- Previous experience in driving school buses or vans is preferred
- Strong understanding of child safety practices and transportation regulations
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to remain calm and positive in challenging situations
- Availability to work flexible hours, including early mornings and late afternoons
Job Type:

$95.00 – $105.00 per day Expected hours: 25 – 30 per week
