Qualifications:
CDL License with school bus endorsement required. Must have a current PA license and a clean driving record. The position requires an individual to have a thorough knowledge of the Southeastern Pennsylvania region and be able to drive all posted routes, as well as perform all physical duties and carry out other responsibilities as assigned by the supervisor. Must be flexible.
Description:
The School District of Springfield Township is seeking candidates who possess excellent interpersonal skills, the desire to work with energetic students, and the ability to relate well within the school community. Responsibilities:
Operate a school bus along designated routes, ensuring timely pick-up and drop-off of students.
Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and report any maintenance issues.
Maintain discipline and ensure student safety during transit, reporting any incidents as required.
Assist students in boarding and exiting the bus safely.
Perform emergency drills and respond appropriately to emergency situations.
Keep the bus clean and fueled, and maintain accurate records of mileage and fuel consumption.
Communicate effectively with parents, school staff, and transportation officials.

Terms of employment:
Approximately 4 hours per day depending on run selected/assigned. Position following the School District calendar. Hours may vary depending on need. Position for 2025-2026 school year.
