Therapeutic Preschool Bus Driver Children’s Place, Inc. Aiken, SC 29801 If looking for FT employment , you must be able to begin driving bus at 6:15 AM. The primary responsibility of the driver is to safely transport children to and from Children’s Place. They must interact in a warm and friendly manner with all families and children. To achieve 40 hours a week, they will preform other suitable jobs around Children’s Place. Principal Responsibilities Follows a precise schedule and adjusts to driving in traffic and weather condition as needed Picks up and drops off children as needed Avoids accidents and maintained orderliness among passengers Provides for the safety and physical care of the children on the bus. Supports the behavior and treatment plans and procedures for children Manages the safe arrival and departure of the children. Maintains the bus and bus area free of health, safety or fire hazards Writes reports as needed Follows disciplinary procedures outlined in the treatment manual Provides for children’s physical care, including changing clothes and personal hygiene items Practices health and hygiene requirements set by Children’s Place Operations manual. Performs housekeeping and bus chores as needed.
