School Bus Driver Winslow Public Schools Winslow, ME 04901 Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and responsible Bus Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely transporting passengers to their destinations while ensuring a positive experience. This role requires excellent communication skills, a strong commitment to safety, and the ability to interact effectively with diverse groups of people. Responsibilities Safely operate a bus or van according to established routes and schedules. Ensure the safety and comfort of all passengers during transit. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members regarding any delays or issues. Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while driving. Provide exceptional customer service by addressing passenger inquiries and concerns. As a Winslow Public Schools Bus Driver you will play a vital role in your community and the lives of the students you transport. You will be there at the start of the students’ day with before-school pickup and at the end with an afternoon shift to bring students safely back home.

Your day will include:

A split shift, which means an early morning before-school pickup and an after-school drop-off with a few free hours in between A guaranteed shift of 4 hours per school day Additional hours gained through trips when available School Bus Driver benefits: $26.58 hour starting wage Medical and Dental Benefits You might be a good fit if you: Are looking for a part-time schedule Enjoy working with students Are at least 21 years oldHave a valid driver’s license to operate a school bus To qualify for our amazing team you must have the following: Clean Criminal History ( CHRC Background check will be required) Good Driving Record Current CDL license with Passenger (P) and School Bus (S) endorsement Must have a positive attitude and enjoy working with awesome kids! We will provide the training to obtain a CDL with the P and S endorsements (or the P and S endorsements if one already has a CDL) In the state of Maine, all technician and driving positions, including but not limited to van drivers and any other position requiring employees to drive a company-owned vehicle, are considered safety-sensitive and are therefore subject to drug and alcohol testing, including cannabis.
