POSITION SUMMARY
- Under the supervision of the Childcare Director, the Afterschool Bus Driver will safely transport children and counselorsto and from schools or field trips, and act as a role model in regards to promptness, manners, language, appearanceand health. Promotes and incorporates the YMCA core values and mission into all aspects of the job and in thecommunity.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- 1.
Fulfill the Y’s mission to put Christian principles into practice through programs that build healthy spirit, mind,and body for all.2. Operate a 14 passenger bus.3. Ensure the safety of passengers at all times while in vehicle in accordance to YMCA policies and proceduresand state laws.4. Maintain equipment to ensure safety of participants.5. Maintain cleanliness of bus interior.6. Maintain accurate required records at all times.7. Consistently demonstrate positive interaction with all children and adults; talk to them and treat them withdignity and respect.8. Performs any additional tasks assigned by leadership.

QUALIFICATIONS
- 1. Must be at least 18 years of age.2. Must have a valid South Carolina drivers license.3. Must have a good driving record.4. Experience operating a bus is a plus.
