Full Job Description Description:

Immaculate Conception School is seeking a reliable and safety-minded School Bus Driver to join our team. The Bus Driver will be responsible for transporting students safely to and from school each day, following designated morning and afternoon routes. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a commitment to student safety, punctuality, and respectful interactions with students, families, and staff.

Key Responsibilities:

Operate a school bus along assigned routes, adhering to schedules and traffic regulations. Maintain a safe environment for all students while loading, unloading, and in transit. Conduct daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety and proper operation. Report any vehicle issues or safety concerns to the appropriate school personnel immediately. Maintain discipline and order on the bus in accordance with school policies and procedures. Communicate respectfully and effectively with students, parents, and school staff. Follow all applicable federal, state, and local traffic laws and regulations. Participate in required training sessions and safety drills.

Requirements:

Valid TN Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with Passenger (P) and School Bus (S) endorsements, or willing to obtain. Clean driving record with no major traffic violations. Successful completion of background check, drug screening, and physical exam as required by state and diocesan policies. Prior experience driving a school bus preferred but not required. Ability to manage student behavior in a positive and appropriate manner. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Commitment to upholding the mission and values of Immaculate Conception School.
