Removal Technician Position Available In Hernando, Florida

Removal Technician 4.0 4.0 out of 5 stars Our headquarters is located in Brooksville, with 6 other funeral homes throughout central Florida. We are offering $65 per call for removal technicians. We also have regular opt-in hourly opportunities for funeral staff that start at a rate of $15.00/hour. Our removal techs have an on-call position (Variable call rate, average 1-4+ calls per day) and requires day shifts, night shifts, weekdays and weekends and potentially holidays, depending on availability. This job is designed for someone interested in the funeral industry, enjoys helping others, and enjoys driving. The ideal candidate for this position is someone with a strong work ethic, has open availability, is detail oriented, extremely reliable, able to work independently, and is strongly interested in learning the industry. Experience is not required as intensive training will be provided to the right candidates. Company vehicle and fuel are provided for all transports, and removal staff may be able to take a company vehicle home during their scheduled shift.

REMOVAL TECHNICIAN

• Respond to a first call removal of decedents (Residences, hospitals, hospices, medical examiner offices, etc.) at all hours, in a timely manner, and in accordance with all company policies
• Follow all detailed company policies regarding personal property of decedents and positive identification/chain of custody of decedents
• Accurately complete all paperwork and accurately record information into computer system
• Interact with bereaved family, first responders, nurses, etc., in a professional and respectful manner, and accommodate their policies, procedures, and requests.
• Drive company vehicles safely, and in accordance with all laws and company policies
• Maintain company vehicles through regular cleaning (Car wash), and reporting all vehicle issues immediately to management (Paid hourly)
• Assist in internal transfer of caskets, decedents, supplies, etc. (Paid hourly)
• Assist in delivery of vehicles to various chapels, and for maintenance purposes (Paid hourly)
• Assist with occasional long distance transportation of decedents (Flat rate pay)
• Transfer decedents from funeral home to airports, funeral homes, and various outside locations
• Maintain a clean work environment ______________________________________________________________________________________________ All employees must follow company dress code, and maintain professional appearance Must have a clean driving record Must have a high school diploma or GED equivalent Must be able to lift 50+ lbs Must be able to pass all background checks Must have extremely reliable cell phone coverage, as well as GPS Must have flexible, open schedule Must be able to work on-call day and/or night shifts, weekends, holidays Must live within ~30 miles of our Brooksville headquarters to maintain a reasonable response time Must be able to drive safely, in accordance with all laws, at all of day/night, in all traffic conditions Must be able to operate independently, and problem solve in unique situations Must be able to handle adverse conditions, possibly including unpleasant sights and smells
