The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods and materials safely and efficiently while adhering to all traffic laws and company policies. This role requires excellent time management skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to providing exceptional service. Duties Safely operate a vehicle to transport goods to designated locations. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance. Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper handling and securing of items. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including mileage, fuel usage, and delivery confirmations. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and team members regarding routes, schedules, and any issues that arise during transit. Follow all traffic laws and regulations while driving to ensure the safety of yourself and others on the road. Provide excellent customer service during deliveries by being courteous and professional. Qualifications Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record. Previous experience as a driver or in a related field is preferred but not required. Ability to pass background checks and drug screenings as required by company policy. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage time effectively. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Ability to lift heavy items (up to 50 pounds) as needed during loading and unloading processes. Familiarity with GPS systems or navigation apps is a plus.
