Courier/Delivery Driver CayR Solutions Jacksonville, NC Job Summary We are seeking a reliable and efficient Courier Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the timely delivery of packages and documents, ensuring that all items are transported safely and efficiently. This role requires excellent customer service skills and the ability to operate various types of vehicles, including box trucks and vans. The Courier Driver will play a crucial role in maintaining our reputation for exceptional service. Responsibilities Drive assigned vehicles, including box trucks and vans, to transport goods to designated locations. Load and unload packages, ensuring safe handling of items during transport. Utilize pallet jacks as needed for efficient loading and unloading processes. Maintain accurate delivery records and ensure all deliveries are completed on time. Provide excellent customer service by interacting professionally with clients during deliveries. Navigate routes effectively to optimize delivery times while adhering to traffic regulations. Conduct routine vehicle inspections to ensure safety and compliance with company standards. Report any vehicle maintenance issues or accidents immediately. Requirements Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record. Experience as a delivery driver or courier preferred. Familiarity with operating manual transmission vehicles is a plus. Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively. Ability to lift heavy packages (up to 50 pounds) and perform physical tasks associated with loading/unloading. Previous experience in warehouse operations is advantageous. Knowledge of local delivery routes is preferred but not mandatory. Must be able to pass background checks as required by company policies.
