Courier/DOT-1 Position Available In Pitt, North Carolina

Job Description:

Driver / operator of company vehicles. Provides courteous andefficient delivery and pick-up of packages. Checks shipments forconformance to FedEx features of service and provides relatedcustomer service functions. Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Education High school diploma/GED. Must be licensed fortype of vehicle assigned. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Abilityto lift 50 lbs. Ability to maneuver packages of any weight above 50lbs. with appropriate equipment and/or assistance from anotherperson. Good human relations and verbal communication skills. Neatappearance since customer contact is required. Must meetqualifications as outlined in section 391 of the Federal MotorCarrier safety regulations. Requires medical exam in accordancewith FMCSA or FAA regulations. Non-covered safety-sensitiveposition. Medical exam required. Ability to work in a constantstate of alertness and in a safe manner. Must be at least 21 yearsof age. Ability to read and speak the English language sufficientlyto understand traffic signs, communicate with traffic safetyofficials and to respond to official inquiries and directions inaccordance with FMCSA enforcement guidance.
