$23/hour Job Summary Join our healthcare delivery team as a Medical Courier / Patient Transport Messenger. In this role, you will ensure the safe, timely, and efficient delivery of pharmaceuticals, medical supplies, laboratory specimens, documents, and equipment across multiple facilities. You may also assist with occasional patient transport within select Ambulatory Care divisions. Key ResponsibilitiesDelivery Services Safely and promptly deliver assigned items (medications, supplies, specimens, documents) to various locations. Prioritize deliveries based on urgency and critical patient needs. Utilize different delivery methods and devices (e.g., hand delivery, pneumatic tube systems). Report any issues, delays, or safety concerns to your supervisor immediately. At shift’s end, empty transport cooler bags and clear staging areas as needed. Patient Transport (≈5% of Time) Assist with patient movement via stretchers, wheelchairs, or walking, ensuring accurate patient identification and safety. Monitor medical tubes, pumps, and equipment during transit. Notify receiving staff of patient arrival and any specific care requirements. Documentation Complete all required electronic and/or paper logs accurately and on time. Submit end-of-day delivery and transport documentation as instructed. Required Skills & Experience High School Diploma preferred. Ability to walk long distances and lift/carry boxes, packages, and medical supplies. Comfortable navigating between multiple Manhattan locations. Strong verbal and written English communication skills. Basic internet navigation proficiency.
