Job Title:
Courier/DOTOverview:
The Courier/DOT is responsible for safely operating FedEx vehicles to deliver and pick up packages while complying with all Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations. This role emphasizes excellent customer service and timely, secure deliveries
- ## Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate company vehicles in compliance with all regulations
- Deliver and pick up packages promptly and courteously
- Verify shipment details and report discrepancies
- Maintain a professional appearance and interact positively with customers
- Perform vehicle inspections and keep vehicles clean
- Assist with loading/unloading packages
- Complete other duties as assigned
- ## Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid driver’s license appropriate for the assigned vehicle
- Must meet DOT requirements under 49 CFR 391
- Pass a DOT medical exam
- ## Skills and Abilities
- Lift up to 50 lbs. (heavier with assistance)
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Professional demeanor and alertness at all times
- Adherence to all safety and regulatory standards.
