mailing/shipping system at USC Contract Postal Units on the Columbia campus. Process inbound mail/packages in internal computerized tracking system, provide mail/package storage and dispatch services to two (2) Student Package Pick up locations and parcel lockers via delivery van and straight box truck. Maintain pleasant and effective working relations with University community and general public. The successful candidate will be required to provide a certified 10 year driving record from the DMV to USC Postal Service upon acceptance of job offer.

Approved Starting Salary:

$32,686 Minimum and Additional Requirements Typically holds a high school diploma or GED. Requires 1 or more years of job related experience. Preferred Qualifications Two (2) years work experience and knowledge in postal courier, postal delivery and mail processing/shipping operations. Knowledge of USPS guidelines / regulations and experience in postal related operations. Additional Comments A valid SC driver’s license and a good driving record. Must be able to obtain and maintain certification as an U.S. Department of State Passport Acceptance Agent. Above average computer experience, including ability to utilize USPS and UPS websites to determine postal rates, mailing requirements and learn other software programs associated with USC Postal Service daily operations. Have good reading, comprehension and verbal communication skills, and be able to effectively communicate with faculty, staff and others. Attention to detail crucial in all aspects of job duties. Ability to operate a delivery vehicle and straight box truck with lift gate for mail and parcel deliveries/collections. This fast-paced environment requires the ability to multi-task in order to meet daily mail operational deadlines. Also must be able to endure extended periods of physical demands associated with mail sort/delivery/dispatch/processing, to include lifting up to, but not limited to, 50 lbs. As Postal representative, must maintain pleasant and effective working relations with the University community and general public.
