Job Summary The College of Liberal Arts’ School of Aviation is looking for a TES Aircraft Maintenance Support. This role involves providing support to the Department of Aircraft Maintenance by helping to maintain clean and efficient workspaces within and surrounding the maintenance hangar located at the School of Aviation’s flight education building. This position will also assist in moving and parking aircraft on the ramp. Strict adherence to rules and regulations set forth by the FAA and the School of Aviation will be required. Temporary Employment Services (TES), a unit of the Auburn University Department of Human Resources, is an in-house support center established to meet the temporary employment needs of the university. TES provides qualified and dedicated temporary employees in a wide variety of occupations to meet the staffing needs throughout the campus. Temporary employees are hired for a variety of reasons with the most common being:

  • Assistance in the place of a regular employee who is absent for a specified period of time
  • Additional assistance during periods of abnormal or peak workloads
  • Assistance with special projects
  • Seasonal work

AU student employees are not eligible for TES. Essential Functions Towing & washing aircraft
Spotting aircraft in hangar
Securing aircraft in parking spots
Cleaning aircraft hangar and workspaces
Emptying trash cans and dumping oil catches
Opening and closing inspection panels on aircraft
