Transport Operations Lead We Are Frozen Treats LLC Tallahassee, FL 32316 Job Overview We are seeking a reliable and skilled Route Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting equipment and frozen products safely and efficiently while adhering to all traffic laws and company policies. This role requires strong communication skills, mechanical knowledge, and the ability to work independently. The lead driver will primarily handle weekday route driving to an established route of stores and venues, driving between Tallahassee and Pensacola, and management of deliveries and receiving product. The lead route driver may oversee additional drivers in the future. Duties Safely operate a cold car/truck or other vehicles to transport goods to designated locations. Execute route driving tasks efficiently, optimizing delivery schedules. Engage in shuttle driving between facilities or locations as needed. Communicate effectively with management and team members regarding delivery status and any issues encountered on the road. Collect payments, PO numbers, and signatures. Securing and preparing bank deposits may be required. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure safety and mechanical soundness. Assist in loading and unloading frozen product and equipment as necessary, ensuring proper handling of materials. Utilize mechanical knowledge to perform basic diagnosis/ maintenance on vehicles when required. Requirements Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record. Your DVR must be impeccable. Must be insurable as a driver on employer’s vehicle policy. Experience in route driving is preferred. Familiarity with moving frozen products and logistics operations is a plus. Strong communication skills to interact with team members and clients effectively. Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently while on the road. Mechanical knowledge for performing basic vehicle maintenance tasks is advantageous. Must be able to lift, bend, reach and perform physical tasks associated with loading/unloading freight.
