The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely transporting children while providing excellent customer service. This role requires strong communication skills, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to operate different types of vehicles, including minivans and 8-14 passenger vans. Responsibilities Safely operate vehicles to transport children to designated locations. Ensure the vehicle is well-maintained and report any mechanical issues promptly. Communicate effectively with dispatcher regarding any changes in schedule. Assist passengers with boarding and disembarking, ensuring their safety at all times. Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety compliance. Provide exceptional customer service while addressing any passenger inquiries or concerns. Maintain accurate records of trips, including mileage and passenger counts. Adhere to all traffic laws and company policies while driving. Experience Previous experience as a driver in roles such as school bus driving, van driving, paratransit, delivery driving, or shuttle driving is preferred. Strong customer service skills with the ability to handle children effectively with diverse behavior conditions. Experience with heavy lifting may be required for certain transport tasks. A valid driver’s license with a clean driving record is essential; additionally backgrond checks must be clean records Familiarity with Miami Gardens area is a plus but not mandatory.
