Job Summary Performeffective, safe and efficient driving duties. Deliver packages tocustomers on scheduled route while meeting service and performanceobjectives. Essential Functions To perform this job successfully,an employee must be able to perform each essential functionsatisfactorily, with or without reasonable accommodation. Transact all business inaccordance to Patterson Companies’ business code of conduct andbusiness ethics Drive assigned vehicle and deliver/pick upshipments Point of contact for customer service and help resolvecustomer complaints Collect money from customers Load and unloadassigned vehicle. Ensure all loads are properly secure fortransport. Operate all warehouse equipment/machinery Achieveassigned performance metrics and KPIs Help maintain a secure,organized, clean, and safe warehouse and vehicle Handle allhazardous materials, pesticides, and prescription drugs accordingto the Company’s processes/procedures and applicable laws andregulations Assure routine maintenance is performed on assignedvehicle per schedule and vehicle is always in a good and safecondition Adherence with DOT drug & alcohol testing. Follow alllocal, state and federal motor carrier laws Submit all requireddaily, weekly and monthly compliance reports Follow companybiosecurity policies and customer biosecurity protocols asrequired. Assist fulfillment center in daily operations when notperforming delivery duties A dditional functions In addition to theessential functions listed below, the incumbent may perform thefollowing additional functions. Managing time effectively, meetingpersonal goals and fleet goals and objectives Perform all work inaccordance with Company Safety guidelines and procedures includingall required Safety and Compliance Training and regulatorylicensing Maintain acceptable driving record and current driver’slicense Perform other duties as assigned by management JobQualifications Required Qualifications CDL, Class A, Hazmatendorsement, driving vehicles or combination vehicles up to 80kGVWR Maintain additional endorsements as required by equipment(airbrakes, tanker) High school diploma or GED preferred Must havea valid driver’s license Obtain a satisfactory MVR review Abilityto drive assigned vehicle Knowledge of delivery area and ability toread maps Able to work as an effective team member Basic problemsolving/troubleshooting skills Effective time management skillsPreferred Qualifications One-year experience as a CDL driverpreferred Working Conditions Physical Demands Lift and carry up to55 pounds, team lift 56 to 100 pounds: continuous, moderate oroccasional heavy physical activity Moving 50% of the timeStationary position 50% of the time Move loads on pallet jack(w/pallets/totes/barrels) weighing up to 2,500 lbs Load and unloadvehicle Environmental Factors Assigned vehicle/vehicles ElectronicDriver Logs as required General warehouse equipment General officeequipment Travel and On-call May require overnight delivery runs
