Non-Medical Transportation Driver Vita Transportation New Orleans, LA 70114 Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Transport Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely transporting passengers to various locations while providing excellent customer service. This role requires strong communication skills, the ability to perform heavy lifting, and a commitment to ensuring the safety and comfort of all passengers. Responsibilities Safely operate wheelchair accessible vans to transport passengers to designated locations. Assist passengers entering/exiting vehicles Complete administrative tasks and documentation Ensure timely arrivals and departures while adhering to scheduled routes. Maintain cleanliness of vehicles Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members regarding schedules and passenger needs. Requirements Valid class D Driver’s license Experience in school bus driving, paramedic, paratransit, shuttle driving, or delivery driving is a plus. Strong communication skills to interact effectively with passengers and team members. Know how to use google maps and get around the city. Ability to perform heavy lifting as needed during transport operations. Previous experience in customer service roles is highly desirable. Must be able to pass background check and drug screen as required by company policies.
