The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely transporting goods to various locations while providing excellent customer service. This role requires a commitment to safety, efficiency, and professionalism in all driving activities. Duties Operate and drive a box truck or similar vehicle to deliver products to designated locations. Perform route driving efficiently while adhering to all traffic laws and regulations. Utilize a pallet jack and forklift for loading and unloading goods as necessary. Ensure timely delivery of shipments while maintaining accurate delivery records. Provide exceptional customer service during deliveries, addressing any client inquiries or concerns. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the truck interior and exterior. Assist with moving items as needed, ensuring proper handling techniques are followed. Skills Proficient in operating manual transmission vehicles. Experience with route driving and understanding of navigation systems. Familiarity with using pallet jacks and forklifts for material handling. Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients. Previous experience as a delivery driver or courier is preferred. Ability to work independently and manage time effectively to meet delivery schedules. Attention to detail in maintaining delivery documentation and vehicle maintenance records.
