DESCRIPTION OF WORK

The Iredell County Health Department is accepting applications for Mobile Health Unit Drivers to work through the NC Alliance of Public Health Agency on an as needed basis. Drivers are responsible for driving the unit to and from various outreach events, health fairs and other community events. participants as they enter and exit the vehicle when needed. Drivers are expected to be reliable and work independently.

QUALIFICATIONS

A high school diploma or GED is preferred. Drivers must be 21 years of age and must possess and maintain a valid Class A unexpired, unsuspended and unrestricted Commercial Drivers’ License with a good driving record and have the ability to drive the mobile health unit to and from events. It is preferred that drivers have two years of experience driving a tractor trailer or mobile health unit. Drivers will be required to pass an employment physical and drug screen.

WORK SCHEDULE

Mobile Health Unit outreach will typically be done Monday – Friday but the unit will also be scheduled for evening and weekend events. The unit will be out in the community a minimum of two times a week.

SALARY:

$30 per hour
