is a New York City based, full-service door company specializing in luxury residential, commercial and hospitality projects in Manhattan and surrounding areas. We are looking to hire a seasonal (temporary) Helper/Driver for our NYC installation team. The Helper/Driver will primarily be responsible for transporting onsite pick-up of necessary equipment, assisting with loading and unloading during pickups and deliveries, assisting in the warehouse as needed and assisting technicians during installation. The ideal candidate is passionate about their craft, with excellent attention to detail, and motivated to grow professionally.

Responsibilities:

• Drive company vehicles and deliver equipment or products to and from job sites.
• Assist with loading and unloading, during & after deliveries.
• Assist crews onsite.
• Working to minimize any potential tickets/fines with company vehicles.
• Responsible for ensuring vehicles are in good operating condition.
• Work with logistics and warehouse as assigned on the disposal of recycling materials.
• Operate equipment such as forklifts or pallet jacks when required.
• Assist technicians during installations.
• Perform heavy lifting tasks as needed.

Required Qualifications:

• Must have a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• 2+ years’ experience in commercial driving or as a van driver.
• Must be detail oriented, the work requires a lot of precision.
• Both verbal and written English language skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Knowledge of all hand tools and basic power tools.
• This position requires you to be able to stand for most of the day.
• Availability to work overtime and travel overnight periodically.
• Works well with others.
• Familiarity with operating forklifts or pallet jacks is advantageous.
• Locksmith experience a plus.

This position is within our Door Installers Team, which may require periods of standing, kneeling, walking, bending, lifting, and/or otherwise handling of materials which may include partially or fully assembled units. Must be able to lift, carry, and move materials as heavy as 75 lbs. individually and/or units exceeding 75 lbs. via “Team-Lift” operation. This job includes working from ladders, scissor lifts, scaffolding, or other complex locations for periods of time. Most of the work is performed outdoors. The candidate should live in New York City area and should be willing to work full-time in person and commute five days a week to projects sites and/or our warehouse based in Bronx, NY. This role is initially offered as a temporary position, with the potential to transition into a permanent role depending on performance and experience evaluation. Monday
