EMTDuties and responsibilities consist of:
Primary duty isadministering basic life support treatments within the EMTscope.
Safely operating and maintaining emergency vehicles incompliance with laws.
Delivering competent patient care in varioussettings.
Applying EMS procedures in practicalsituations.
Interacting professionally with healthcarepersonnel.
Documenting information accurately in our chartingsystem.
Assisting fellow EMS providers and providing comprehensivereports.
Maintaining equipment, ensuring cleanliness, and restockingsupplies.
Adhering to company and local agency policies andprotocols.
Demonstrating a clean appearance and professional,ethical behavior.
Required Education and Experience for EMTsCurrentCPRCurrent position specific state certification or a NREMTspecific certification with ability to obtain reciprocity isrequired prior to start date.
Valid drivers license and good drivingrecordCompetenciesSelf-confidence, emotional stability, goodjudgment, and tolerance for high stressPossess good verbalcommunication skills.
Ability to handle adverse situationseffectively.
Physical DemandsPhysically strenuous and can beemotionally challenging.
Involves bending, sitting, kneeling, movingand lifting patients and equipment.
Must be able to drive/ride inambulance for extended periods of times without issue.
Physicalagility necessary to lift and move patients safely.
