We are seeking a reliable and motivated driver to join our team. As a Driver, you will be responsible for safely transporting patients from pick-up to drop off. This position requires excellent driving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate effectively. If you are EMT certified that is even better.
Duties:
- Safely operate a variety of vehicles to transport clients to and from their appointments.
- Follow assigned routes and schedules.
- Load wheelchair/ambulatory/stretcher patients and secure them.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure they are in good working condition.
- Communicate with the operations manager regarding any issues that may arise.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while driving.
- Maintain accurate records of mileage and fuel usage.
NO TEXTING AND DRIVING
Requirements:
- Must be at least 24 years old
- Valid driver’s license with F endorsement.
- Must have reliable transportation to the office in order to pick up vehicles.
- Must be able to work full time.
No major moving violation within 10 years (i.e. DUI) If a violation is noted on the MVR a supporting document must be attached. No reckless driving, leaving the scene of accident, fatality, felony with auto within 36 months No more than 2 minor traffic violations within 12 months (i.e. speeding, failure to stop, etc.) No more than 1 at fault accident resulting on injury or property damage in 36 months Not have a combination of conviction of 1 at fault accident and 1 unrelated minor moving violation within 36 months.
- No criminal history & not in the sex offender registry.
- No fraud with Medicare or Medicaid.
- Must be able to pass DOT physical, Drug test, and Breath & Alcohol tests.
- Familiarity with route driving and navigation systems
- Strong physical stamina for pushing person on wheelchair onto the ramp.
- Excellent communication skills to interact with clients.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Pay:
Hourly + commission You will get paid $20 an hour from 9:00AM to 5:00 PM. If you decide to work extra jobs past 5:00 PM, you’ll get paid a bonus. Hours are not consistently the same, but expect it to be working 9:00AM to 5:00 PM. Pay will be bi-weekly You earn commission for accepting long distance discharges past 5:00 PM or on the weekends. You determine how much you make. More discharges=more $$ in your pocket.
