We resell furniture and offer furniture delivery. I am looking for someone to help run my business, someone to be my right-hand man/person. This job entails driving a pick-up truck, towing a 12ft enclosed trailer, managing some of the accounting and processing sales, and lifting and moving furniture. I need someone for a guaranteed 20 hours a week, most weeks 30 hours, and even some 40+ hours if you are available. The pay is $18 per hour. Can you?: Drive a pick-up truck Back up a 12ft trailer Create entries to a spreadsheet Lift heavy furniture Create advertising posts on Facebook Marketplace and Craigslist Return texts promptly I expect that this position will turn into a full-time job very quickly. Basically, I need someone to help me run every aspect of this small business. The ideal candidate will be able to run the business when I am gone. You will need to receive and respond to text messages immediately, plan the delivery route for maximum efficiency, sell to new customers, track the events of the day in a spreadsheet, and have a good attitude. This is a 1099 subcontractor position. Here is what a day in the life of Chip’s Flips looks like 10am pick up a dresser in Louisburg 11am meet a customer at the storage unit to sell them a piece of furniture 12pm deliver a headboard to a customer in North Raleigh 1pm pick up 3 dressers in Chapel Hill 145pm deliver 3 dressers to Rolesville 3pm pick up 2 shelf units, a desk, and a couch in Rolesville 4pm deliver Rolesville pick up to the storage unit 530pm meet 2 customers at the storage unit to sell them 2 pieces of furniture Or On Tuesday the day looked like this: 7am start driving to VA Beach 11am pick up chair and coffee table in VA Beach 1130am drive to Kill Devil Hills Outer Banks 130pm pick up a dresser in Kill Devil Hills 2pm drive 3 hours back to Raleigh 5pm drive to Winston Salem 7pm pick up 2 dressers in Winston Salem 9pm back home for the day There is lots of driving and lots of customer interactions in this role.
