Basic Qualifications

  • Candidate must have active secret clearance and be able to qualify for access to Special Access Required (SAR) programs.
  • Former Aircrew Instructor required and candidate must have in-depth knowledge of fourth and/or fifth generation aircraft systems, operational experience with advanced sensor systems such as Night Vision devices, EO/IR targeting systems, Helmet Mounted Cuing, and the latest air-to-surface and air-to-air weapons inventory.
  • Candidate must have prior experience in delivering military pilot academics and simulator training, and be familiar with current instructional techniques and delivery methods.
  • Candidate must have worked in an environment which required them to interact with multiple functional areas and personnel of a diverse nature. Use of Microsoft Office products (Word, PowerPoint and Excel) is required.
  • Candidate must have outstanding interpersonal skills, excellent leadership traits, strong oral & written unication abilities, solid ability to organize, and a high desire to provide customer satisfaction.

THE WORK
Foreign Assignment:

This position will offer a long-term deployment to a foreign country as a

F-35 A/B

Contract Instructor (Flight Simulation Trainer Stf). Specifically, the candidate will support training operations at Amendola Air Base, Italy.
This position is full time as a Contract Instructor (CI). Candidate may instruct academic training utilizing Electronic Mediated Lecture (EML) and/or Interactive Courseware (ICW) and instruct flight procedures in the Pilot Training / Devices executing to the approved pilot training syllabus.
The instructor will operate Instructor Operating Stations (IOS).
The successful candidate will work closely with other members of the Lockheed Martin training team to fulfill F-35 training objectives.

Desired skills

  • Candidate should have a minimum of 1000 hours Fighter Flight Time in fourth and/or fifth generation multi-role fighter aircraft.
  • Familiarity with USMC Training and Readiness Manual and its requirements
  • MAWTS Contract Instructor certification in one or more mission types
  • Former Weapon School, Top Gun, or MAWTS graduate desired.
  • Current or demonstrated experience as an
USAF/USN/USMC IP

with multi-role fighter experience.

  • Fifth generation Full Mission Simulator (FMS) experience as an operator and/or instructor.
  • Must be willing to travel CONUS and OCONUS for up to an 89 day period of time.

Pay Rate:

The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, Washington or Washington DC is $109,200 – $192,510. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate’s final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate’s work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
Benefits offered: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Short-Term Disability, Long-Term Disability, 401(k) match, Flexible Spending Accounts, EAP, Education Assistance, Parental Leave, Paid time off, and Holidays.
