Responsibilities:

Regulatory Compliance:
Oversee and ensure full compliance with FAA Part 141 and Part 61 regulations, maintaining all associated documents, processes, and approvals. •
Flight Training Management:
Develop, implement, and continuously improve flight training policies, procedures, training materials, and training standardization processes to ensure adherence to industry best practices and regulatory requirements. •
Instructor Hiring and Development:
Lead the selection and comprehensive training of new flight instructors. Oversee their progress through initial testing and ensure continued professional development. •
Instructor and Student Mentorship:
Provide guidance and support to both instructors and students throughout their flight training journeys. Monitor student progress, offer counseling as necessary, and implement corrective action plans to ensure successful course completion. •
Training Course Oversight:
Ensure that all students meet or exceed the standards, training requirements, and objectives set forth in the FAA-approved Training Course Outline (TCO). •
Instructor Conduct and Professionalism:
Ensure all instructors uphold the highest standards of professionalism and adhere to company policies and FAA regulations. •
Evaluation and Certification:
Administer stage checks, end-of-course evaluations, and oversee those conducted by other flight instructors to ensure consistency and adherence to established criteria. •
Recordkeeping and Compliance:
Ensure accurate and timely maintenance of student and training records in compliance with electronic recordkeeping regulations. •
Leadership and Delegation:
Lead the flight instructor and Assistant Chief teams and delegate tasks, such as training record audits, while ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the training program. Qualifications Experience instructing at Part 141 flight school-Meets the qualifications of 141.35 Flight training civilian and/or military of 3 years and 1000 hours or 1500 hours dual given. Require 2000 flight hours PIC (pilot in command). 2 years as an Instrument Instructor and 250 hours instrument dual given or 400 hours instrument dual given. 100 hours of actual or simulated instrument time. Ability to hold an FAA Class 3 medical. Ability to be on call outside of typical working hours, including weekends, early mornings, and late nights. Proven leadership skills with experience in flight training management. Strong organizational and communication skills, with the ability to mentor and motivate both students and instructors. Bachelor’s degree in an aviation related field- preferred
