The Captain is the company’s supreme representative on board. Asthe Captain, you will be responsible for the seaworthiness andsafety of the vessel, equipment and all persons on board. You willbe in command of the vessel and have full authority over the ship’soperation. As the Captain, you will report to the AVP of NauticalOperations & Fleet Captain who handles all routine communicationswith the vessel and provides voyage and other instructions to theCaptain.

• Ensures safety of guests, crewmembers and the vessel by enforcingthat safety first is above everything and that accident preventionis of prime concern
• Responsible for operating the vessel in accordance with allapplicable port, state and international conventions, treaties andregulations, and the company?s Safety Management System, as well asall company policies and procedures
• Accountable for the enforcement of the company?s environmentalpolicies, ensuring compliance with international, national andlocal environmental requirements applicable to the ship?soperations in addition to working with the shore side corporateoffice in continuous effort to improve the company?s environmentalperformance
• Participates and ensure that all Officers participate in plannedsocial activities with the guests and encourage all Officers tomaintain a friendly and positive attitude towards all guests onboard
• Maintain visibility to guests at the beginning of each voyage andthroughout the voyage, including announcements, initial greetings,social activities, etc.
• Provides in hands-on training where appropriate, to the StaffCaptain in maneuvering ship handling, in order for the StaffCaptain to take command in case of an emergency, in addition totraining Deck Officers and Crewmembers
