The ideal candidate will be responsible for delivering products to various locations while providing excellent customer service. This role requires effective communication, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage routes efficiently. The Route Driver will also have opportunities to engage in sales activities, including upselling products to customers. Duties Safely operate a delivery vehicle along designated routes to ensure timely delivery of products. Load and unload products, which may involve heavy lifting. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including quantities and customer signatures. Communicate effectively with customers to address inquiries and provide product information. Identify opportunities for upselling additional products during deliveries. Ensure compliance with all traffic regulations and company policies while driving. Conduct routine vehicle inspections and report any maintenance issues promptly. Organize delivery schedules and optimize routes for efficiency. Skills Proven experience in route driving with a strong understanding of navigation and local roadways. Sales experience is a plus, particularly in upselling products during customer interactions. Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple deliveries efficiently. Ability to perform heavy lifting as required by the job duties. Strong math skills for calculating delivery quantities and managing inventory. Effective communication skills to engage with customers professionally and courteously.
