POSITION SUMMARY

Primary responsibility will be to effectively coach and influences driving behaviors, utilizing Smart Drive Technology Update the current and active roster of SmartDrive installed units.

Including but not limited to:

o Update active list of all power units with SD installed o Update accurate list of active drivers o Update accurate list of user login accounts o Ensure all active vehicles are labeled correctly in the response center o Document all Coaching/Counseling sessions Review all events on a daily or more frequent basis depending on severity Ensure all events are correctly noted with unsafe observations – this may require request for re-review by SmartDrive Ensure all events are properly assigned to the active driver Based on severity of unsafe actions in events, determine if immediate coaching is required. Be an effective team player within the Department, assisting in whatever the needs might require. Individual must have a willingness to cross train into other areas of responsibility. Conduct new driver /orientation road test Available to act as backup for the Orientation Specialist Individual needs to have operated a commercial motor vehicle in over the road environments. Must possess a current CDL class A license. Must possess favorable people skills and a personality that can adjust to the needs of his/her audience. Must be open-minded and willing to listen. Must be comfortable in using a variety of technologies and possess strong computer skills. Needs to be familiar and proficient in working with Microsoft Word/Excel/PowerPoint.
