Key Responsibilities:
Ensure safety standards are upheld both inside and outside the vehicle. Maintain situational awareness and adapt to changing environments. Communicate courteously with management, engineers, and the public . Operate vehicles in single or dual driving mode for 6-8 hours a day , five days a week. Respond quickly to high-pressure situations . Work independently or in small teams (2-10 people) . Monitor multiple software systems with continuous focus. Provide clear and concise feedback on vehicle operations. Complete daily reports and document procedures and tests. Educate the public on self-driving technology . Operate self-driving vehicles on predefined and dynamic routes under various conditions. Manage onboard data recording computers . Comfortably ride as a passenger in a self-driving vehicle . Set up driverless vehicles safely. Monitor and safely operate non-autonomous vehicles while tracking driverless ones. Execute safe recovery procedures for autonomous vehicles when needed. Follow safety protocols in vehicle rescue situations. Deliver excellent customer service while assisting passengers. Adhere to TaskUs’s zero-tolerance policy regarding alcohol and drug use during shifts, including randomized testing. Perform additional duties as required .
Education, Licensing, and Certifications:
Must be 21 years or older . High School Diploma or GED (required) ; a four-year college degree (preferred) in industrial or applied sciences. Maintain a clean driving record that meets state AVT (Autonomous Vehicle Tester) regulations . Pass background checks in compliance with state and federal laws .
Experience & Skills:
Minimum of 2 years of driving experience on public roads. Proficiency with laptop computers and Google Suite applications (Gmail, Hangouts, Drive, Sheets, Docs) . Comfortable using a touchscreen smartphone . Must be able to type at least 40 WPM .
