We’re seeking a cheerful and responsible individual to join our team as a Summer Camp Companion & Office Assistant. This multifaceted role will be instrumental in ensuring the smooth operation of our summer activities and providing essential support to our office. You’ll be the go-to person for safely transporting young children to and from their summer camps and classes, engaging them in fun and age-appropriate activities, running important errands for our office, and providing a loving presence to our furry friends at The Pet Lodge.

Responsibilities:

Safe Transportation:

Reliably transport children (ages vary) to and from designated summer camps, classes, and activities in a safe and timely manner, adhering to all traffic laws and safety protocols.

Engaging Childcare:

Supervise and actively engage with children during transportation and any downtime, ensuring their safety, well-being, and enjoyment through age-appropriate games, stories, and creative play.

Errand Management:

Efficiently and accurately run various errands for The Pet Lodge office, which may include picking up supplies, dropping off documents, going to the post office, and other tasks as needed.

Dog Interaction:

Provide positive and safe interactions with dogs at our facility, which may include light walking, playtime, and general companionship under the guidance of our pet care professionals.

Maintaining Vehicle Safety:

Ensure the cleanliness and safety of the transportation vehicle, reporting any maintenance needs promptly.

Communication:

Maintain clear and open communication with parents (regarding transportation schedules and any relevant updates) and The Pet Lodge team.

Flexibility and Adaptability:

Be prepared to adapt to changing schedules and needs, demonstrating a proactive and helpful attitude. Adherence to

Follow all safety guidelines, company policies, and procedures.

Qualifications:

Proven experience working with young children in a responsible and engaging capacity (e.g., babysitting, camp counselor, daycare assistant). Demonstrated comfort and experience interacting with dogs of various breeds and sizes. Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record. Reliable and safe vehicle suitable for transporting children. Excellent time management and organizational skills. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to follow instructions and work independently. Patient, responsible, and enthusiastic demeanor. Ability to pass a background check.

Experience working in a professional pet care environment. Familiarity with the Pinehurst area.
