JOB DESCRIPTION

This is a commercial Ballyhoo fishing boat, which consist of a purse seine net. The deckhands (2/4 guys) on the boat will be deploying the net while the captain drives. Once the net is deployed than we have to physically pull the net in the boat with 2 guys so you will need to be in good physical shape/condition. Boat is located on the Miami River.

• 6:30am-5:00pm
• Deckhand will be pulling the net, icing fish, tying lines, maintaining the net (fixing holes, tares, rips, etc.)
• Fueling boats
• Checking motor oil
• Basically being boat savvy
• Will need your own transportation to and from the boat to the get to work

Other Available Positions:

Starting @ $15.00/hour

• Shop work processing bait. The Shop is in Fort Lauderdale.
• Rigging Bait
• Sorting fish (by size)
• Bagging fish
• Vacuum sealing
• Lifting 25-50lbs Monday-Saturday 7:00am
• 7:00pm 1st 2 days on the boat are training days and the pay is $100.

If we keep you on board the 3rd day starts $175/day. Pay by the catch is an option once you have some experience.
