Full-Time Global K9 Protection Group LLC is looking for an experienced, dedicated, and passionate 3PK9 Explosive Detection K9 Handler to serve as an integral part of the security Team.
Responsibilities:
Canine handlers conduct screening operations for explosive and other hazardous materials while working with a trained Explosive Detection Canine. Handlers are responsible for maintaining administrative records for work and training. Canine handlers are provided a monthly stipend for cost of feed and veterinarian care. Additionally, handlers are provided K9 homecare pay for the housing, care, and maintenance of assigned canine. Canine handlers are responsible for maintaining administrative records.

The Hander will be paid the local training hourly rate of $24.49 (75% of payrate).

Elite Detection Services Qualifications:
Be a citizen or national of the United States Has more than 12 months of canine handling experience Previously certified and/ or currently holds an active 3PK9 certification – Preferred not required 12-month commitment may apply Able to pass the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) Security Threat Assessment Have a high school diploma, General Equivalency Diploma Able to pass background check and drug screen Must be able to obtain a Known Traveler Number (TSA Pre-Check) through TSA Can read, write, and understand English well enough to carry out written and oral instructions Excellent interpersonal and communication skills Demonstrated ability to work independently and in a team environment Exercise sound judgment in all areas of responsibility Maintain effective professional relationships with employees and outside individuals and agencies Ability to understand and successfully handle various operational issues
