In this role, you’ll entertain and inform guests during sightseeing cruises by delivering live narration with enthusiasm and professionalism. If you have a passion for storytelling, local history, and providing excellent guest experiences, this is a great opportunity. This position requires high energy, strong customer service skills, and the ability to create a memorable atmosphere for all passengers. Key Responsibilities Learn the vessel’s handling characteristics and maintain awareness of all safety measures under the Captain’s guidance. Greet guests warmly and ensure a friendly, welcoming environment throughout the cruise. Deliver approved narration content, adding your own entertaining and informative style. Engage with guests to maintain a fun and enjoyable atmosphere. Assist the Captain and Mate with safety procedures and general onboard duties. Monitor guest behavior, especially on the upper deck and stairways, to ensure compliance with safety policies. Operate required equipment such as the microphone, radio, and clicker. Ensure the PA system is functioning properly and coordinate with the Captain as needed. Qualifications & Skills Fluent in English and Spanish (spoken and written) Friendly, confident public speaker with strong interpersonal skills Familiarity with local landmarks, culture, and history Able to follow communication protocols and provide clear, professional announcements Basic navigation knowledge is a plus Physical Requirements & Appearance Ability to stand and walk for extended periods Comfortable working in outdoor conditions year-round Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks such as bending, climbing stairs, and repetitive movements Manual dexterity to operate equipment effectively Must maintain a neat, clean, and professional appearance in line with company standards Willing to assist with boat yard tasks as needed Drug testing is required Certifications & Experience Basic Safety and First Aid Training required CPR certification preferred Previous experience in marine operations or tourism is beneficial If you enjoy sharing stories, interacting with diverse groups, and working in a fast-paced environment, we encourage you to apply for this exciting role.
