⚐ ⚑ ⚑ Patching small hole in boat and pumping water out (re-floating) ‹ image 1 of 1 › compensation: Please quote the job. The first re-floating cost $1000; but I expect this to be a much shorter job of around 6 hours or less. Hi, I have a 34′ boat that I refurbished, but that later sunk because the solar panel was ripped off in a storm. Happens. I’m lucky overall, but this is unlucky. I refloated her (she is in very shallow water by the shore), but let too much time pass and another storm filled her up again…..so here I am. The boat is heeled over and the air intake to the engines can let water back in. It is a relatively small hole about 9″ x 6″ on the starboard side. This will need to be patched – doesn’t have to be pretty…I’m scrapping the boat. Then with a motorized pump, pump her out. I can help, but prefer to have it done by someone on their own. It is painful for me to look at it.
