Boat Operator/Crew Member Bayside Dredging – 2.0 Clearwater, FL Job Details Full-time From $23 an hour 6 hours ago Qualifications 5 years High school diploma or GED Driver’s License Senior level Full Job Description Bayside Dredging is looking for a safe, dependable, consistent, and hardworking Boat Operator and In-Water Hand Dredging Crew Member able to travel Florida for our Residential and Commercial Projects. Great opportunity to join the Bayside Dredging team to perform specialized work. Crew members have the ability after sufficient training and experience to move up to foreman. The primary responsibilities of the position consist of, but are not limited to:

Responsibilities Boat Operator:

Five years’ minimum boat operating experience on 18ft – 26ft Push boat experience preferred Complete Daily Boat Maintenance Log/Checklist Mandatory Comply with safety practices, rules, and regulations while performing job duties and follow company procedures in reporting unsafe conditions or practices. Maintain all vessel equipment in good working order and ensure that vessel is clean, well-stocked with supplies and spare parts at all times. Facilitate alignment, movement of boats, or adjustment of machinery, equipment, or materials Assist in performing maintenance as needed. Assist with washing and maintaining boats and equipment in proper working order. Be in proximity of work area to anticipate the needs of the crew, prepare tools and operate boats and equipment for crew members for the particular work being performed. Load, unload, or identify building materials, machinery, or tools. Keep work areas clean and organized. Work as a team and fulfill all other duties and tasks as assigned. Able to lift to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities Crew Member:

Being comfortable in the water for job setup and hand dredging work. Assisting and coordinating with Heavy Equipment Operators with transport, movement and rigging of equipment on-site. Work with surveyor layouts and cutsheets to determine line and grades as necessary. Performing the work as shown in the contract drawings. Plan ahead to make sure appropriate materials are onsite when needed. Communicating with site Foreman, PM, or Superintendent Plan sequence of activities in and out of the water Removing debris and maintaining a clean and safe work site. Assembling and breaking down hoses, barricades, temporary structures, and pumps. Complying with all safety rules, regulations, and permit conditions. Assist in Mobilizations/Demobilizations as needed. Must be motivated and able to work independently and as a team. Evaluate on going safety issues on job and make changes when necessary. Establish and adjust work procedures to meet production schedules. Analyze and resolve any work problems. Maintain time and production records, detailed and accurate timesheets with verified quantities including detailed locations of work performed. Must be able to work outside for an entire shift in all weather conditions (hot, humid, cold, wet) required. •Note• Wetsuits are provided for warmth and protection. Water booties / shoes will need to be purchased. Must regularly work or walk on uneven ground or onboard floating equipment. Qualifications /
