Mate/Deckhand – Dining Yacht & Island Explorer Vessels StarLite Cruises 25 Causeway Boulevard, Clearwater Beach, FL 33767 Join the Crew at StarLite Cruises! StarLite Cruises is looking for a motivated and dependable Mate/Deckhand to join our team aboard the StarLite Majesty Dining Yacht and our Island Explorer vessels. This is a hands-on, team-oriented position ideal for someone who enjoys working on the water, providing excellent guest experiences, and contributing to the smooth operation of our vessels.
Job Responsibilities:
Dining Yacht (StarLite Majesty): Assist with docking and undocking procedures Handle lines and maintain cleanliness of vessel Perform routine maintenance when not cruising Set up boat for trips and clean up after cruises Support safe and enjoyable passenger experiences
Island Explorer Vessels:
Act as a customer service-focused mate Interact with guests and assist with boarding Help facilitate tours and on-board experiences Provide information and ensure guest safety Opportunity to earn tips for excellent service
Requirements:
Ability to lift 50 pounds Ability to stand for extended periods of time Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions Previous maritime or deckhand experience preferred but not required Strong work ethic and ability to work in a team environment Excellent customer service skills Willingness to learn, take direction and be a self-starter Must be able to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays This position requires a Department of Transportation pre-employment and random drug screening to qualify and remain employed
