Commissary Associate 3.0 3.0 out of 5 stars Caddo Parish, LA Job Description – Commissary Associate Onsite -under the management of Correct Commissary seeking to hire a Full-Time Commissary Associate who will provide support for the sale of all perishable and non-perishable goods to jail inmates/detainees following facility rules and regulations as well as inventory processing duties inside the facility. All applicants must clear a law enforcement background check before any application will be considered.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Process commissary orders for inmates/detainees. Satisfactorily perform duties alone on the jail housing units/floors for periods of time; Competently operate Commissary equipment including software and ordering system; Transport goods from the jail dock to the assigned location or Commissary shelf storage facility Assist with taking weekly counts of all inventory; Maintain a clean storage and work area. Handle situations that require prompt attention and/or action and immediately report issues; Retain, follow, and implement general information and detailed instructions
Educations and Qualifications:
Graduation from an accredited senior high school or equivalent or GED. Must have a valid driver’s license. All applicants must clear a law enforcement background check before any application will be considered. No Criminal Record – No Arrests Ability to pass a drug test Two (2) years full-time, wage-earning experience. Preferably with a commissary, retail sales, or inventory management background or (1) year full-time, wage-earning correctional custody or law enforcement experience preferred.
Physical Requirements:
Move, lift, carry, push, pull, 25 pounds or more. Stand for extended periods of time. Move at a speed that is required to respond to work situations.
