DESCRIPTION/RESPONSIBILITIES :
Nationally recognized environmental remediation contractor (#4 in ENR in 2023) looking for Laborers to support Phase 2B of the University Flood Risk Reduction project in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. (Local candidates preferred). This phase of work will consist of the removal and processing, and disposal of stumps, logs, and debris within University and Campus Lakes, and the hydraulic and mechanical dredging and relocation of more than 200,000 cubic yards of lake sediment within the University Lakes system to provide flood risk reduction, improved water quality, and habitat improvements around the lakes.
The daily work will include:
Providing general labor as required including but not limited to: Traffic control during deliveries Spotting heavy equipment Support dredging set up and production operations as required HDPE pipe welding Geotube agitation Assisting on deck barges with ropes and tie offs Working from a work boat or in shallow water during installation of geotubes
SKILLS/EXPERIENCE
: Must be able to pass a drug screen Valid Driver’s License required Must be comfortable working on and around boats and water
SALARY/BENEFITS
