Pay:

$190.00 – $240.00 per day Experience is preferred but not required. There is excellent opportunity for advancement and extensive training is provided. Qualified candidates must be safety-conscious and able to work in a physically demanding environment. The company offers a complete benefit package, including 401K with company match, health, life, vision, disability, and dental insurance. Turn Services requires the successful completion of applicable pre-employment drug screen, physical and background check. Qualified deckhand candidates must be safety-conscious and able to work in a physically demanding environment. The work schedule is 2-for-1, with a variety of possible schedules from 28/14, 20/10, 14/7. Job duties are as follows, but not limited to: Securing barges together (building tow & working in fleet) Securing boat to barges (facing boat up) Line handling General boat cleaning Minor engine room work (oil changes, greasing, etc.) Painting Cooking General housekeeping and upkeep of the vessel, including washing, chipping, painting, and cleaning Tow work, including carrying rigging, and building tow Additional duties and responsibilities as required or requested Basic requirements: Must have and maintain a TWIC. Must have and maintain a valid/current Driver’s license. At least eighteen (18) years of age. Must have the ability to receive and carryout instruction. High school graduate or equivalent preferred Must have dependable transportation to designated Turn Services locations, no exceptions. Must be able to work various hours/holidays/weekends. Ability to work in a flexible schedule; must allow for changes in assignments, and priorities depending upon identified needs of the vessel Ability to work well independently as well as part of a team Physical Requirements Must meet “fit for duty” requirements upon job offer (pre-employment physical and drug test). The employee must meet physical requirements including but not limited to, walking, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, climbing up/down ladders and stairs, negotiating uneven and moving surfaces. Must be able to work in difficult conditions with exposure to all weather conditions Must be comfortable working aboard boats and barges. Ability to lift up to 100 pounds.
