Job Description

Project Agent – 1099 3.3 3.3 out of 5 stars 120 Mallard Street, Saint Rose, LA 70087 The Project Agent is responsible for overseeing and coordinating all activities for special projects assigned by management. Locations include but are not limited to project locations in NY, NJ, RI and US Gulf states from Florida to Texas. Duties include coordinating vessel(s) while in port including boarding, coordinating barges, helicopters, transportation, and freight, arranging crew changes, hotel arrangements, etc. This also includes all necessary arrangements and coordination prior to the vessel’s arrival and departure.

Specific Job Duties:

Coordinate and update all parties concerned, of latest movement or change of vessel position prior to, and during vessel arrival/departure. Booking/blocking hotels and arranging food orders for crew members. Meet and greet crew members at airports and/or hotels. Arranging and setting up transportation for large crew movements. Proper filing of AMS and ENOA/D for each vessel. Work with Principals, terminal operators, stevedores, port authorities, government officials and other parties to ensure safe and efficient practices and methods. Orientation and familiarization of principals to various characteristics of the port area, terminals, etc. Arrange all Port services necessary for vessel operation, exercising discretionary judgment to contract with local vendors as appropriate. Chopper clearances/manifesting crew with APIS filing and US Customs local filing requirements. Standby at Helo port awaiting arrival of return crew. Coordinating and arranging Offshore project cargo/container movements. Responsible for communications between owners/operators and/or charterers of vessel. Maintain communication with Federal and State authorities, local pilots, terminal operators, towboat companies, port authorities, stevedores, etc., to ensure smooth and safe operation during a vessel call. Other duties as required by Management. Not all aspects of the job are covered by the descriptions; other duties may be required. Position may change as industry and technology evolve.

Qualifications Required:

High School diploma or equivalency Must be willing to work/travel within the U.S. -NY, NJ,RI and Gulf of America Port area (Florida to Texas) and or any area projects arise. This position will be based in St Rose, La. Strong written and verbal communication skills; must be able to interact with clients and vendors in a professional manner Ability to operate in a team environment Advanced computer knowledge with good typing skills for data entry Excellent organizational skills TWIC card preferred or must be able to obtain within 30 days after employment Excellent driving record with an acceptable MVR required. Position requires 50-60% travel using personal vehicle for company business; mileage reimbursed. Be willing to workdays, nights, weekends, and holidays as needed-this is a 24/7 operation
