Job Description
POSITION SUMMARY
The Ecoserv Offshore group provides services for Offshore Drilling Rig Cleaning and Offshore Production Platform Cleaning. The primary job task is both non-entry and entry vessel/tank cleaning. During the cleaning process, the technician utilize diaphragm pumps and or vacuums to remove product from the vessel/tank into cuttings boxes. Once the product is removed from the vessel/tank, pressure washers are used to remove scale buildup or heavy sludge from the wall of the vessel/tank, and then the remaining product is pumped/vacuumed into cuttings boxes.

ESSENTIAL JOB
FUNCTIONS1.On Call
- Must be available by phone for a 24-hour call out schedule.2.Offshore Travel and Readiness
- Must be able to travel to and work/live in remote offshore locations. Must be work-ready prior to departure and remain fit for duty throughout the tour. Must report to work on time when directed.3.Navigating Offshore Locations
- Must be able to move safely across offshore platforms, including grated flooring, multi-story structures, and decks in low visibility conditions (e.
g., poor weather or nighttime). Must accurately judge distances during walking, climbing, swinging, and transferring to and from personnel baskets to prevent missteps or falls. Must be willing to ride and/or live on boats to and from the offshore facility. Must be willing to ride a helicopter to and from the offshore facility.4.Working at Heights
- Must be able to safely climb ladders and work on scaffolding at varying heights, including in wet or slippery conditions.5.Confined Space Entry and Monitoring
- Must be authorized and physically fit to enter confined spaces, such as tanks with limited visibility and able to physically enter vessels through multiple sized openings.
Must also be able to act as a confined space attendant, monitoring entrants and assisting with rescues if needed. Must be able to act as a cleaning tech entrant, attendant, rescue and equipment operator on all projects, these positions will be rotated throughout the project to prevent fatigue. Training must be approved by Safety Manager.6.Emergency Personnel Transfers and Evacuation
- Must be able to perform emergency evacuations, including rope swings from stationary to moving platforms (boats) and personnel basket transfers via crane. Must be able to rescue employees from permit-required confined spaces.7.Equipment Operation and Material Handling
- Must be able to operate and maintain equipment such as Mini Vac units, air compressors, pressure washers (up to 20K psi), vacuum pumps, and diaphragm pumps. Must also load and unload materials safely on offshore vessels and platforms.8.Manual Labor and Rigging Tasks
- Must be able to perform rigging, pulling hoses, setting up pumps, hammer wrenches, cutting pipes/bolts, chipping paint/rust, and shoveling/bucketing product for removal. Work may involve stairs, ladders, scaffolding, and elevated platforms.9.Pressure Washing Operations
- Performs pressure washing in extreme hazardous conditions through the routine usage of pressure washers (up to 20k) and vacuum pumps when cleaning out vessels and containers.10.Hazardous Materials and PPE Use
- Must safely handle hazardous materials and properly wear, adjust, and maintain PPE (harnesses, safety lines, respirators, etc.).11.Situational Awareness and Multi-Operation Safety
- Must be aware of ongoing simultaneous operations on offshore platforms, including:oCrane and heavy equipment movementoRotating machinery and conveyor beltsoTeam coordination to prevent interference with other workoRecognizing and mitigating risks from hazardous materials and pressure systems
EDUCATION/WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
Minimum Education Required:
High school diploma or equivalent. Industry recognized or position specific certifications preferred.
Experie ce: At least 0-2 years of experience working in an offshore environment.
