Position Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable individual to join our team as a Delivery Driver. The Delivery Driver will be responsible for performing various administrative and clerical tasks to support warehouse operations, including inventory management, data entry, and documentation.
Responsibilities:
Safely operate a delivery vehicle to transport goods or materials to designated locations. Load and unload items from the delivery vehicle, ensuring proper handling and securing of goods. Plan and follow delivery routes efficiently to meet delivery schedules and deadlines. Verify delivery instructions and addresses before departure to ensure accurate and timely deliveries. Collect payments for goods delivered, if required, and obtain signatures from recipients as proof of delivery. Inspect and maintain delivery vehicles regularly, including performing routine maintenance tasks such as checking oil levels, tire pressure, and brakes. Follow traffic laws and safety regulations while driving and adhere to company policies and procedures. Communicate effectively with dispatchers, customers, and colleagues to coordinate deliveries and resolve any issues or concerns. Keep accurate records of deliveries, mileage, and fuel expenses. Assist with loading and unloading goods at warehouses or distribution centers, as needed.
Qualifications:
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record. Previous experience as a delivery driver or in a related field preferred. Knowledge of local roads and routes. Ability to safely operate and maneuver delivery vehicles, including vans, trucks, or other transportation equipment.
