$28.6K – $34K a year 6 hours ago Qualifications Customer service English High school diploma or GED Driver’s License Driving Communication skills Entry level Full Job Description Job Summary The Delivery & Equipment Specialist plays a crucial role in ensuring the timely and safe delivery of medical supplies and equipment to customers. This position involves delivering orders to nursing homes as well as small, general maintenance of equipment as needed. Position is considered full-time, Monday-Friday, 9:00AM-6:00PM. Position drives a company van during deliveries.

Key Responsibilities Delivery Operations:

Safely and efficiently deliver medical supplies, equipment, and devices to healthcare facilities or other designated locations. Coordinate delivery schedules, routes, and logistics to maximize efficiency and meet customer expectations.

Documentation and Recordkeeping:

Maintain accurate delivery records, including delivery manifests, customer signatures, and equipment serial numbers. Complete required paperwork, such as delivery tickets, billing forms, and equipment rental agreements.

Equipment Maintenance and Repair:

Perform basic maintenance and troubleshooting of medical equipment, such as cleaning, sanitizing, and replacing consumable parts. Report equipment malfunctions or damage for repair or replacement as needed.

Customer Service:

Provide exceptional customer service, demonstrating professionalism, courtesy, and empathy in all interactions with customers. Address customer inquiries, concerns, and requests in a timely and responsive manner.

Quality Assurance:

Ensure that delivered products and equipment meet quality standards and regulatory requirements. Perform visual inspections and quality checks to verify the condition and functionality of items prior to delivery.

Safety Compliance:

Adhere to safety protocols and procedures to prevent accidents, injuries, and damage during delivery and equipment setup. Follow all traffic laws and regulations while driving company vehicles.

Inventory Management:

Assist with inventory management tasks, including stocking delivery vehicles, conducting inventory counts, and organizing warehouse storage areas. Communicate inventory needs and shortages to the delivery services manager or warehouse supervisor.

Team Collaboration:

Collaborate with other members of the delivery services team, as well as customer service representatives, warehouse staff, and healthcare professionals, to coordinate delivery activities and ensure seamless service delivery. Preferred Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or training in healthcare, customer service, or a related field is a plus. Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record. Previous experience in delivery, customer service, or healthcare support role preferred. Excellent driving skills and knowledge of local roadways and traffic patterns. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to lift and move heavy objects, as well as assemble and disassemble medical equipment. Attention to detail and accuracy in recordkeeping and documentation. Compassion and empathy in dealing with patients and caregivers. Working Conditions Works in office area(s), warehouse, pharmacy, and some positions work in a long-term care environment (i.e. nursing home). Moves intermittently during working hours. Is subject to frequent interruptions. Is involved with customers, and customer representatives, family members, residents, personnel, visitors, government agencies/personnel, etc., under all conditions and circumstances. Communicate with the designated facility staff, nursing personnel, residents, or family members. Works beyond normal working hours when necessary. Is subject to call back during emergency conditions (e.g., severe weather, evacuation, post-disaster, etc.). Is involved in community/civic health matters/projects as appropriate. Is subject to injury from falls, burns from equipment, odors, etc., throughout the workday, as well as reactions from dust, disinfectants, tobacco smoke, and other air contaminants. Is subject to exposure to infectious waste, diseases, conditions, etc., including TB and the AIDS, COVID-19, and Hepatitis B viruses. Education Must possess and maintain any and all necessary active and unencumbered certifications, degrees, or licenses in the necessary state, to the extent the position requires such certifications, degrees, or licenses.
